Suppression

Don’t get stuck paying for the same old customers multiple times, set up audience lists for your campaigns and avoid paying for customers you already own. It’s simple, the minute a visitor interacts with a Zeeto placement we’ll check to see if they’re already one of your customers. If that customer already exists in your database (email or phone number), or in your uploaded file, we will stop your campaign from being shown to that visitor.

To get started, click on the ‘Suppression’ tab inside of your campaign. Once there, choose ‘Add URL’ or ‘Upload File’ and you’re on your way.

Here is how you set up a URL

• Give your new suppression URL a name. Make it specific to the way you store your leads. For example is this your CRM or Database? If so, specify it as such.
• Insert your Suppression URL. This is the location we’ll be hitting to see if you already have the lead in your system.
  NOTE: make sure to use ‘http://…etc’

• Choose your posting method. We have two to choose from POST or GET. Either way works for us!
• Select your hash format.
  IMPORTANT: You are required to use lowercase MD5 Hashing to keep leads confidential.
• Give us the name and value of your request headers if you selected ‘Post’ as your delivery method. You may certainly add multiple headers using the ‘Add Request Header’ button.

• Add your success response. If the visitor’s information we’ve sent to you isn’t in your database what message should we expect to get back from you? (ex. visitors, success…etc) We also recommend using Regular Expression wildcards to filter out anything other than your specific success words.
• Give us the name and body of your request headers if you selected ‘Post’ as your delivery method. You may certainly add multiple headers using the ‘Add Request Header’ button.
• Save. Once you are happy with the suppression setup, click the ‘Save’ button to finish.

Here is how you upload a file

• Choose your file. This will open your file explorer so that you can upload a file from your computer. Please keep it under 500MB.
• Select your data type. What are you uploading? Let us know if we are going to suppress on phone numbers or email addresses.
• Select your hashing method. Have you already hashed your file? We accept MD5 hashing, or if your file is just plain text, we can hash it for you.

• Upload. Once you have everything in place, hit the ‘Upload’ button to finish. You cannot leave or refresh the page during the upload process, but if you still need to use ZAN, hit the handy link and you’ll be on your way. Depending on the size of your file, it may take a minute, so just sit tight.
